UCB Radio Ride 2018

A cycling team from UCB are taking to the roads once again, to raise money for UCB’s work.

On 13th April, they’ll be setting off from the Manchester Cathedral and cycling to the UCB Broadcast Centre in Stoke on Trent (50 miles away) in time for a live radio show on UCB 1, hosted by two of the cyclists, UCB presenters Gareth Cottrell and Sarah Hine. Will Gareth, Sarah, and the rest of the team – Mark Kershaw, Tim Fisher, Andy Fisher, Steve Percy and Tim Verrel – make it in time?

They need your help!

This is quite a challenge and they’d love to raise as much support for UCB as possible. UCB is a charity, and every pound raised helps change lives for good by the power of God’s Word across the UK.

Thank you for all your support!

And don’t forget to tune in to UCB 1 on 13th April from 7am, for a special broadcast, following their journey.

There are two ways to support their challenge:

“I’m getting involved in the UCB Radio Ride because I loved cycling growing up and thought this would be a great challenge for myself. More importantly, being at UCB I get to see the impact that radio has on people and how God can use UCB to speak to people and change their lives.”

Sarah Hine  |  UCB 1 Presenter

"I like to get involved with the bike ride because I love the outdoors, whether cycling, walking, or hiking. It’s good to get up and close with Gods beautiful Creation. I also feel it's a privilege to work for such a great ministry as UCB. The only funding UCB gets is from its supporters and listeners so I feel this is a great way to make people aware of this and to help get extra funding we need to keep it going."

Mark Kershaw  |  UCB staff member

“ UCB is one of the country’s leading Christian organisations and it’s a real blessing to be involved in the work they do. As a Christian it’s crucial for me to share the Word and thankfully I’ve got a job which allows me to do that on a huge scale. Last year was a huge success thanks to the generosity of our supporters and we hope this year will be just as successful. Together, this is going to be fun, but most of all it’s a great opportunity to promote the work UCB does in sharing God’s Word nationwide.”

Gareth Cottrell  |  UCB 1 Presenter
